Smurf Facts The Basics
If you have never watched The Smurfs, there are some basics that you need to know. First of all, there is one older Smurf who is considered the major one, called Papa Smurf. He has long white beard and always wears red clothes. You will distinguish him from the other Smurfs because he is the only one in red, with red hat, not the white one which all the other Smurfs have. The only Smurf who plays chess with Papa Smurf is Homnibus. When Papa Smurf has to go to Homnibus's place he uses bird for transportation.
Second, the only Smurf who always wears a present around birthday parties is Jokey. He is smiling/laughing.
Third, the only Smurf wearing glasses is Brainy. He is always writing quotations by Brainy Smurf.
Finally, all Smurfs live in a small village, called Smurf village.

Black Angry Smurf
One of the most popular issues of the comic book "The Smurfs" is Les Schtroumpfs Noirs, which is translated as Black Smurfs. However, in the United States they changed the name of the comic book from Black Smurfs to Purple Smurf because did not want to be accused in discrimination. Black angry Smurfs are small black creatures, which have been bitten by an insect. As a result they become black and angry, shout "GNAP!!!" and try to bite any Smurf they see.
Do you know that...something interesting about Smurfs

All you need to know about Smurfs
First of all, the most important facts about Smurfs are the following:
The little blue figures come from Belgium, not from the U.S. or Germany. They were created by the Belgian cartoonist Pierre Culliford, more famous as Peyo. He had a comic, called Johan et Pirlouit and in the ninth issue of the comic, the little creatures called " Les Schtroumpfs" appeared.
There are many different Smurf figures and most people do not know how many of them are the ORIGINAL SMURFS. Actually, there are 105 Smurf figures, which are considered to be the original ones. The most popular Smurfs are Smurfette and Papa Smurf.
According Peyo Smurfette is "very feminine." Reporters asked him to be more specific, so he went on to say: "She is pretty, blonde, she has all the characteristics of women. She seduces, she uses trickery rather than force to get results. She is incapable of telling a joke without blowing the punch line. She is a blabbermouth but only makes superficial comments. She is constantly creating enormous problems for the Smurfs but always manages to blame it on someone else."
